Pictured in the ancient Dunhuang murals, pipa dance is a stunning fusion of music and movement. Originating from Xiyu and flourishing in the Tang Dynasty, dancers perform while playing the pipa with iconic poses like the famous “playing the pipa behind the back”. A symbol of elegance and skill, this dance brings to life the golden age of Chinese music and dance with timeless charm.
